Mentoring, Workshops and Enrichment - More important than ever!
Greetings,
Even as Waldorf Education recently celebrated its 100th year anniversary, we have all been abruptly challenged by the COVID-19 global pandemic It is so inspiring to see how courageous communities of people suddenly shifted all over the world to meet this challenge and continue the educational impulse of Waldorf Education. We will get through this and I am here to help guide you through these changes. I am offering a free mentoring session to any teacher or administrator who would like support and guidance through these unprecedented times. Feel free to contact me at Karljohnsoneducator@gmail.com . We can arrange for a phone conference call or a Zoom meeting to discuss your situation.
We will all reopen - either sooner or later - and many schools are still seeking mentoring support for their teachers. This can continue through Zoom. With schools that are reopening in the fall, I can be there to support new teachers. In addition to one week or two week visits for mentoring or evaluations, a new model that I have been developing with schools is a “Mentor-in-Residence” model, whereby I work with schools for 4-6 weeks. In addition to mentoring, I provide faculty workshops, and parent enrichment programs. This has proven to be a way that schools can receive a substantial amount of pedagogical support in a given year without needing to create a pedagogical director position in the budget. I am also available to conduct evaluations.
It is wonderful to see how Waldorf Education is expressing itself in unique cultural ways - even now during the pandemic. In the gallery of photos on this site you can see images of teachers and children in Waldorf schools in China, Nepal, Hawai'i and elsewhere. As a Waldorf educator with 35 years of experience, it has been my pleasure to support teachers and schools around the world - providing support visits, mentoring, and consulting for both developing schools and established schools.
If your school should need any help or support on any level, feel free to peruse this website. If you are interested in a support visit of any length, please contact me at kjohnsoneducator@gmail.com and we can set up a conversation to explore possibilities.
Warm Regards,
Karl David Johnson M.A.
